ABOUT RACHEL

A guide for creatives, sensitive souls, and anyone navigating transition, burnout, or a desire for deeper meaning. My work blends intuitive, grounded support with practical tools to help you find clarity, emotional grounding, and a path forward — whether that’s in your creative life, career, or personal growth.

With a background in managing visual effects artists, I’ve seen firsthand how high-pressure careers can lead to burnout, self-doubt, and creative blocks. Through my experience leading teams, I became deeply passionate about supporting individuals — especially creatives — in finding a healthier, more balanced way forward.

In addition to my professional experience, I bring breathwork and somatic practices into my sessions to help release tension, calm the nervous system, and facilitate emotional healing. My approach isn’t therapy, but it’s rooted in deep, reflective conversation and compassionate support.

I’m also the author of Wild Woman, a coming-of-age novel that follows the story of a young woman’s survival and transformation after escaping generations of domestic violence. Writing this book was an intensely personal journey, exploring resilience, self-discovery, and the power of reclaiming one’s life from trauma. The process of bringing this story to life deepened my understanding of emotional healing, transformation, and the importance of finding strength from within.

Whether you’re in the midst of creative burnout, going through a life transition, or seeking more spiritual or emotional alignment, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore, reflect, and move forward.

Wild Woman Archetype

“Within every woman there lives a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing.” - Dr. Clarissa Pinkolla Estes, Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype

Dr. Estes’ book inspired elements of my first novel, Wild Woman, about a woman named Charlene Louise Montgomery, who recovers from domestic violence. Charlie’s story is set near the Appalachian Mountains and features a contemporary, yet unexpected, voice for the wild-woman archetype.

Set in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains, Rachel Margaret Drews' debut novel, WILD WOMAN, tells the story of Charlene Louise Montgomery (Charlie), a Guns ‘N’ Roses-loving mountain girl who comes from generations of women to whom spousal abuse is just another part of life, “like fixin’ supper.” After twenty-two years of living a life according to what “don’t work,” her moment of grace comes, empowering her to let go of the need to acquire her violent husband’s attention and to transform her purpose for living.

Her bad-boy brother (Danny) is the closest thing she has to a positive male role model, and he gets her high for the first time when she is just fifteen. A year later, she meets Jimmy Randall Jr., the son of the local tire shop owner, and is transfixed by a desire for him more powerful than any drug. Like all addictions, the downward spiral ensues, leaving a gorge between her dreams of a happy family life and her heavy fisted, shame-based trailer love.

After landing in the hospital for the fifth time in six years, Charlie has a mystical experience empowering her with the ability to choose a different path. In the despair of the damned of those addicted, she returns home to live with her Jesus-loving mama. But it is not through her mama's faith that she finds comfort and courage to change. For Charlie, her transformation comes from discovering the Divine in simple circles of recovering women where she surrenders to the process of letting go and living the life of which she could never have dreamed.
